Hi, I have recently bought 1997 Explorer and based in the UK.

I love the truck but I have a few question, the auto fluid is quite low and have a spare bottle of Triple QX ATF DX III

Would this be suitable?

thanks

Thank you for letting me know. is it about 9 litres?

On a trans pan drop and filter change you'll need about 4.5 qts of fluid to refill
(4.5 quarts = 4.25 liters). I don't believe there's a way to drain the torque converter, so unless you plan to do a flush that should be all you'll need.

Hi, many thanks for that. 4.25 litres is good! do you know if this brand is OK to use? CARLUBE FULLY SYNTHETIC ATF-U

Unless it clearly says on the container that it meets Mercon V specifications, it's not.
