Read somewhere on here about the EGR valve using a oring gasket. So does my 2001 ST 4.0 V6 engine EGR valve have a gasket that should of have been replaced by now with 207,000 miles on my engine?
Thanks

On my 03 there was a metal gasket where it mounts to the intake, similar to an exhaust manifold gasket. On the exhaust pipe side there is no O-ring, it is a compression fitting. Is your EGR leaking? Assuming the EGR isn’t leaking and tighten it up doesn’t fix the leak, you could loosen it up and put some exhaust leak putty on the threads and retighten on the pipe side.

No signs of leaking! Dug into it deeper on line and found what you describe a gasket where it mounts to the intake. Was just a thought that due to age it might need to be replaced but since no signs of leaking I will leave it alone!
Thanks
