Camshaft Sensor

Ok, I replaced the motor in my son's 2002 explorer, bought the camshaft tool so I know the timing is correct, it starts and runs great however getting the P0340 camshaft sensor code. Replaced the camshaft sensor, the connector checked all of the wiring and everything is good. We even replaced the crankshaft sensor and the alternator but still getting the code, what could cause this?
I also replaced all of the timing change guides and chains.

A good code reader or an elm327 and forscan would allow you to monitor the sensor voltage and see if it's a broken connection or something else.
