Hello all. I am getting a code 157 CM and KOER MAF voltage too low and code 998 KOER limp home mode. I used to have a 113 and 122 as well for the IAC and TPS but fixed those. The MAF, IAC and TPS has been replaced but the 157 and 998 codes persist. KOEO is 111.

It hesitates when first accelerating and sometimes there is a VERY noticeable miss which will sometimes cause the car to shut off while driving. It also smells like it is running very rich. At this point it seems to be a problem with the MAF wiring or the ECM. Is there a good way to test these without throwing $100 at rockauto for an ecm to try? I am hoping two MAFs in a row can't be DOA so that is why I am assuming a wiring issue. When getting the part number for the ecm I noticed some electrical tape on the harness so I am guessing someone has been in the wiring before.

No advice? Most of the other posts I found about this issue died without the OP saying if what they were recommend fixed anything. Not a good first experience here.

That 998 is worrisome. Do a google search for EEC-IV 998 and read. Verify everything electrically. If you verify the integrity of the 4-5 major components that will trigger a 998, you would usually then go after the PCM. However don't start throwing parts at it.
