New to this forum old time diesel tech and 40 year mechanic but never built a a4ld and have a air leak at the coast clutch drum star washer drive lug area. i pulled the coast drum twice and no cut seals on piston. Is this normal to lubricate the od planet?? Cant find any explanation anywhere on web......This is 1992 4.0l explorer 2 sol VB.....it has the stamped steel coast drum 3 clutch disc......Need a expert or anybody....desparate...thanks

Are you sure you are air checking the correct passage for the coast clutch?

There are many oil passages for lube oil.

You could place the drum on the pump and air check it that way and trace down the oil circuit back through the pump and valve body.
