2000 Explorer XLT 5.0
Took ownership of a 2000 XLT 5.0 AWD with 50k miles for free.

Done so far:
30x9.50R15 BFGoodrich T/A KO2
Nilight LED Light Bar (25”)
New upper, lower ball joints, inner, outer tie rods, sway bar
New cruise control buttons

Planning to do:
Window tints
Maybe lift
Might make custom grille
Smoke headlights/taillights
Raptor liner bottom quarter of the body
Maybe the chrome too if that would be possible

Anything else people like to do to 2nd gen V8s?

Wow! Great deal and looks nice! I'm jealous that you're AWD! I'm wishing mine was AWD; I'd swap the AWD out for the manual transfer case from a F150 if mine was. More pics please!

How do people get these low mileage 5.0s? My coworker has a 2001 limited with just now 100k that is mint

Wow..... only 50K and for FREE! Total score! Christmas came early for you

You could easily sell that for $3000-$3500 where I live (maybe more). My '01 RWD 5.0L EB has nearly 200K but is the cleanest Explorer I've ever seen. You may have mine beat. More pics.

Looks pretty well equipped for an XLT. It reminds me of my old '00 XLT. Mach stereo system with CD changer, auto-light rear view mirror, home-link, leather interior, 16" wheels, driving lights, rear window defogger, privacy glass, 5.0L RWD, painted grille, fender flares, towing pkg. I bought it in 2013 or 2014 for $1500. It had 200K on it and was in fair condition with a new battery and 4 new tires. Sold it 2 year later, after putting 10K on it, for $1700 and people were beating down my door for it. I guess I should have asked more... LOL. In retrospect I wish I'd kept it and not bought my POS SOHC '01 Sport Trac.

Man I wish mine was that clean, my 01 Eddie Bauer V8 swap is clean, but not THAT clean, I've turned down offers of $3500 for the Eddie Bauer finished, it's not about money. My 2000 is starting to show age, already got another V8 in my sight, since I won't use my 01 for a daily.

Finished window tints (matched front to back, using 15% tint)

Not sure what else to do, likely going to leave it like this for a while (I assume it’ll last like this for a while).
