How do you take the body off the frame

Wow! That's a huge question. The main connection between the body and frame is the body mounts. On the Sport Trac there are 8 mounts (4 each side). I suggest you search the forum for threads on replacing the body mount bushings.

Beyond the body mounts there are many, many other things that will have to be disconnected before the body can be removed from the frame. Exactly what are you trying to do and why?

Edit:
And as said below, there was no Sport Trac (the 4-door one with the pickup bed) until 2001. Do you mean "Sport" or "Sport Trac"?

1999 there was only an explorer sport, no "trac"
01 was first year of the "trac"

sport = 2 door
trac = bed

Chassis
To accommodate for the addition of a pickup bed, the wheelbase of the Explorer Sport Trac was lengthened from 111.6 inches to 125.9 inches

Body
Built on a lengthened Ford Explorer chassis, the Sport Trac was constructed using parts from three Ford vehicles, with the addition of model-specific pickup truck bed

As mentioned before, there is no 99 sport trac. First year of sport trac is 2001.
You’re either mis-typing or mistaken on what you have. Or have a factory prototype.

The OP has me confused. As said, the the Sport Trac (small pickup bed) chassis is unique to the Sport Trac and no Sport Tracs until 2001.

The frame of the Sport Trac is different than the frame of all other Explorers of 1999-01, Sport or four door. To swap bodies you will have to use the same frame type, so two Sport Tracs, not a 95-01 4dr or Sport frame.

I get 05 explorer sport trac and 01 explorer sport trac

That's good, you can swap those bodies. There are two wiring harness connectors under the body near the driver's seat, and various connectors for the engine/trans, engine bay, and short ground wires. The shifter has a cable that you have to disconnect also, remember that.

When you remove all of the body mount bolts etc, and separate the wire connectors, then it shouldn't take long to lift the body off. Watch out for other items we didn't mention, go slow when lifting it up, so you see those things.
