Hi all,

I’m new to this forum so thanks for having me! I’m looking to try and do more of my auto work myself (when possible), but I’m pretty new to working with cars. Grateful for pointers from those with experience.

Just wanted help identifying a small hose near the rear wheel on the driver’s side, it was leaking a small amount of watery fluid (no strong smell, I assumed it was water) when I drove it last and wanted to see if it was a major issue or something minor.
My initial thought was it might have been connected to the a/c.

I have some pictures attached to help.

Thanks!

It's the parking brake cable for the drivers side parking brake. Not part of the rear hvac they run along the passenger side rocker , then cross over to the drivers side above the spare tire, and are much larger in diameter.

Oh and the liquid is most likely water because the parking brake is actuated by cable and not fluid.

Most likely water condensation from air conditioner if you have rear air

+1 parking brake cable (with a thick rubber insulator to avoid rub-through due to chafe).

Ok, thank you for the answers everyone!
The vehicle does have rear air, so that is probably the cause of it.
I’ll keep an eye on it, but seems like nothing to worry about then.
