when i was drilling out the ign locking cylinder i broke the little key in dinger. now it stays on all the time the door is open. how do i bypass it?

Look for a black wire with a pink stripe coming from the general area of the cylinder. Cut that and insulate the ends. I don't know how tight that is... if you cut it, that's going to be a real pain if you want it to work again down the road. But, cutting that wire is the only way to disable the chime for just that one thing.

Or you could disconnect the entire chime module. It is on the bottom edge of the dashboard, center above the transmission hump. It's going to be a small plastic box with a 7-wire connector. I suppose if you got under there, you could listen your way to it. Actually, you could cut the same black/pink wire there instead, if it's easier to get to.

i disconnected it at the ing cylinder and just taped it up in case i want to hook it up later.
