In that case replace them and get a cat back
Gibson
Flomaster
Borla
Just to name a few

I was thinking vacuum controlled cutouts

A main vac line I can think of 2 off hand
Just install a T in the line and run the new line to the cutout servo motor

Then when you floor it or put a load on the engine the cutout will open and close when you let off

Oh really I think I might stick with electrical but I’m trying to find a 2.25 e valve and a wiring harness I already have a y pipe

Do you need just the cutout and all the harness to the dash

I can find kits with everything on eBay

Well it’s not telling me how to attach a vacuum cut out because there are some that will allow you to open at any time

power? Not going to gain anything.....If you want just loud, stick a flowmaster 10, or 40 on it.

This is not a productive use of time or money. Get a 5.0L Explorer, throw headers and a turbo on it. If you just have $330 burning a hole in your pocket, get a new cat so you get at least dismal fuel economy instead of truly horrific fuel economy.

You do realize the 4.0L SOHC is a slowly ticking time bomb before the timing chain components fail?

Boom
I'll defuse that *****
