Has anyone tried to install a drain plug on the Dana 35 SLA. Suctioning it out of the fill hole is a PITA. Can't get the cover off because the front diff is to close to the front cross member. Would drilling a hole and tapping the bottom to allow installation of a drain plug cause the axle to crack. Looked at a gasket from a Mopar Dana 35 but the bolt patterns are a little off.

Be the 1st and do a write-up w/ pics :bounce:

FWIW - I use the suction method and plan the diff oil changes during the summer months, when the 75W-140 flows easily.

FWIW... Part number EZGO15054G1 is a perfect fit. No drilling required
