Parking brake dash light

Hey guys my parking brake light has been on on my dash I’ve replaced the parking brake pads and I have fluid in the reservoir what else am I missing? 2000 xlt 4.0 4x4

You might check the sensors. I've got a '96 so they might be different. On mine there are two sensors, one in front and one to the side of the brake fluid res.

There should be a little star shaped adjuster in between the rear e-brake shoes. Mine might be different but you might be able to get to it from behind the disc. A little slot that you can use a flat head screw driver to adjust shoes. There are posts in this sight that tell you how to do it.

I know the kit came with all new star heads and springs as well as pads I adjusted they as far as they would go
 






In addition to the brake fluid level switch, there is a switch on top of the foot brake pedal that activates the light when the foot brake is depressed.
Clean that switch, should have one green wire going to it
