Engine temp gauge question

Would the coolant still reach 16 psi with a cooler temperature? I’m wondering if my radiator cap isn’t opening much since the coolant rarely reaches 190F. Seems like air is getting trapped in the system.

You got me thinking so I just went out and checked, radiator is full and coolant in overflow tank is right where it's supposed to be.
I think if you have air in the system your temp gauge will be all over the place.

I never even check the gauge. I put in a scangauge II and it tells me all I need to know. Well worth the money.
Would kinda like some A pillar gauges just for the heck of it though.

I want some pillar gauges too. Coolant temperature, oil pressure, and transmission fluid temperature would be nice. They make gauge holders for rangers that fit second gen Explorers.

My gauge at normal temp sits just above the halfway symbols.
