2006 Ford Explorer xlt tire sensor warning

Is the tire sensor light referring to a inside sensor or the valve that you put air in?

So should I just change the valve that you put the air in the tire , to make this light go off? Or is it one of those sensors inside the tire on the rim that you have to let all of the air out of the tire and take it off the band?

4th gen stock tire sensors are the banded style inside the tire not the valve stem style. Either way if a senser is bad the tire needs to come off to replace the sensor. If yours are stock most likely the battery is dead they are only suppose to last 5 to 10 years.

All 4 of mine still going after 14 years now.
