*another aftermarket junk parts story....
After LED conversion of rear signal lights, I used a capacitor kit to resolve the issue of turn signals flashing at an annoying speed, because the LED lights draw so little current that the flasher tries to indicate that the signal bulbs are out. Of course, the capacitor kit was an imported aftermarket kit made for this purpose. The capacitors had gold painted heat sinks, appeared very well made, and were very pretty!
At installation, all was well.
Six months later, the turn signal/flashed fuse began blowing out immediately with use of turn signals/flashers.
SOLUTION: after puzzling for a bit.... disconnect the in-line capacitors, which had apparently shorted to ground. Turns signals and flashers functions were restored immediately Now trying the “Novita” aftermarket flasher, that is compatible with LED lights.
That works great (for now).
Good luck!
