Hi, Anyone know a shop in So Cal that does a lift for my 2WD Sport?

I'm looking for a lift 2-3" but don't want to do the work myself. I want to fit 31s with the stock 15" rims.

BTW, I'm looking for 31s tires also.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

All you need are some shackles for the rear and an alignment as far as paid stuff, and to adjust the torsion bars in front. It takes a backyard mechanic about 1.5-2.5 hours to do this for the first time, then you go get an alignment.

However, your local 4 Wheel Parts store (where you'll order your shackles from) could do the lift for you.

Lots of places in So.Cal. will lift your Explorer. I know some people who own a shop called Outlaw Offroad they are in Orange County but they will lift your Explorer. Also their prices are good to.

Thanks.
I just called. $850 installed for my 98 2WD Sport. Ouch!

That price is for the front and rear?

850 for what? what parts?

They told me $850 for the whole installation 3" raise.

If that price includes lifting the rear then thats an okay price.
What about those other places what prices did they give you.

I didn't call other places Joe, but for $850, I was thinking I should do this work myself. :) $850 is kinda steep.

Well I did all the work on my explorer. For that 3" lift it only took me 2 hours to do both the front and the rear.
I think you should just buy the parts and put everything on yourself.
I just was giving you some places to call because you said you did not want to do the work yourself.

Also it is not hard to put that 3" kit on you will be able to do it.

For 31s, don't get the 3" body lift, just do shackles and torsion twist.

He has a 2wd so I think he is getting the 3" spindles. Not a 3" body lift.

Then 850 isn't bad for parts and labor.

However, he doesn't need to spend nearly that much just for 31s.

SoCal Lift

Check out Four Wheel Direct. That's who did mine. I have a 99 X with a 3 in lift and 31/10.5. They have a website you can check out. www.fourwheeldirect.com

Hak this is easy!

Crank your T-bars =cost $0

trim a little and whola!

I am planing on doing the same with my wifes ex. When I can afford 33's :D
