    Transfer case gearing

    In 4L D1, unbraked descents can get as fast as 10mph. It seems as though I'm free-wheeling. The engine does drag, just not enough to keep slow speeds. I know from experience that using brakes during descents can lead to trouble, so any help is appreciated. Geo.

    I have a 92 X w/AT. Steep descents are, to say the least, an adventure. Short of an Atlas, are there any crawler gears available to stop this Run-Away-Train? Any help is appreciated.:(
