I forgot to mention that in 93 the explorer gained 4 wheel abs and 5 more hp.

Summer of 2002 my OD went out. I had all sorts of things done to it and none of it worked. Finally I hade it rebuilt and it has not skipped a beat yet.

I remember looking at consumer reports awhile back and the late 93’s and 94’s were the best for the first gens. As for the manual transmissions, they were standard in every trim level except the limited, which had an automatic as standard equipment.

Mine did that last summer. I tested the high pressure switch and that was the prob. The high pressure switch will not let the compressor turn on if the freon pressure is to high or too low. When the switch goes bad the compressor just will not turn on. If you want directions on how to test...

I don’t remember the details but it concerns things like the air filters and such. Like with your ford, you need to pay for the maint yourself, so if you get an aftermarket air filter i.e., K&N, it does not void your warranty, where as when you by a car like a BMW or something with free maint...
