What is the box mounted inside the passenger's side fender that connects to the throttle linkage? The cable from mine broke at the throttle body, I have fixed it with wire but would like to know what it's for. Thanks!

Ok, problem started with 4X4 HI light flashing, truck seaming to go into 4X4 randomly. Got the replacement from silverford parts, the 4x4 works but the light still flashes. Any ideas? Thanks.
