I pulled my driver's side seat belt out to give it a good cleaning. I didn't pay attention and now the belt retracted all the way in. Is there a way to undo the mechanism so I can stretch it all the way out?

Well I did a little looking under the hood and found that the 2 rubber vac hoses coming off of the pcv valve were weak and collapsing whenever there was a load on the engine. Replacing these did seem to help some, but did not cure the issue totally. I'm gonna do some more digging and see if...

I went ahead and replaced the o-ring seals for the upper and lower intake manifolds. It started up and seems to run fine so far. I won't truly know until the truck sits overnight. I'll fill you all in tomorrow morning on the results. Thanks guys for all of the input!

Hey guys, I'm pretty much stumped with this thing... it barely stays running on startup. So far I've done plugs, wires, fuel pressure regulator and crankshaft position sensor. It still seems to run like garbage. The only codes I get are for a random misfire. Any guidance here guys?

Okay thanks guys. So theres really no reason to set the timing if the sensors take care of things for the computer? I'm used to dealing with more traditional motors lol.

I just swapped in an engine from a wrecked truck into my Explorer. I know how to set timing on older vehicles with a distributor, but how do you go about doing this on the sohc engine?

Btw it is on the passenger side near the rear half of the upper intake manifold
