    as they are hub units the proceduer for checking is different, had same problem and changed both hubs and it fixed it, had done over 200k ks so if it didnt fix the noise all was not lost

    i have the same problem, i notice that there is no vacuum in the brake booster after it sits overnight, the brake pedal is hard, it then runs rough on start up till it restores the booster vacuum, on the odd occasion there is vacuum it dosent run rough on start. i will check out the check valve...

    go to your local parts store and buy a " rope and mast for your antenna " you may have to dismantle the unit to remove the broken bit which is a nylon geared rope attached to the mast

    kmank thermostats can fail in the open position, as for your trans do the flush and replace radiator asap, also do the filter as well, there is water in the trans which doesnt do the bands and clutch pack materials any good, check the torque convertor may have a drain plug fitted, be prepared...

    SOHC Belt Squeal

    check for residual build up of burnt rubber in the vee grooves of the pulleys, remove with a wire brush if present, also check that the belt is routed correctly, it is possible to fit the belt incorrectly, the routing diagram is on a sticker under the bonnet or in the owners manual.

    i have used ################## . com they arranged freight etc for rear air shocks for 2001 xlt plus other parts they have a live online chat if you need to talk the prices were good including the freight the shocks were only avail x ford aust at exhorbant price.

    to bleed the system you can try drilling a small hole in the flange of the thermostat before you install it (some thermostats already have a jiggle pin installed). when filling the radiator cut the base out of a 2litre coke bottle or other and jam it in the radiator then fill half way and idle...

    AC leak, dye everywhere!

    system has cutout switches in it to stop compressor running if pressures drop or go above certain limits, it does this to stop excessive damage to the system, get someone to put aircon gauges on system and test the pressures
