How many miles on your 2ND GEN EX?
Odometer stopped clocking at 134,444 :( but regardless it's still going on strong for a 96 4.0L Eddie Bauer X. No major work has been done to it, although it does have its troubles :)- fccornejo

What brand tires to get?
Depends what you're looking to use them for.. Highway I'd say Michelin LTX M/S2, granted their $169 - $200 a piece, Bridgestone Dueler and Handkook DynaPro are also great tires. I have the Michelin LTX M/S (front) and LTX M/S2 (rear) on my X, they wear out pretty evenly, have great traction...- fccornejo
