Projector style lights dont cause bad glare. Its what the Europeans use and a lot of US cars have with factory hid lights and they dont blind other drivers.

The 4.6 had a very common problem of the plastic intake cracking and losing coolant out the crossover in the front of the engine. If its cracked theres a replacement intake with aluminum crossover to prevent cracking. They switched to an aluminum intake later.

Swap to an explorer grille or fabricate the mountaineer grille. Could get an explorer grille and remove the Ford emblem and put a Mercury emblem in its place.

Go for it, why not get some more power while you have it apart. Good time to put in a better cam, springs, etc.. Your intake is the GT40 kit for Mustangs, can get by with the stocker and get good results with the better flowing cam. Exhaust headers would be a great way to make more power also...
