I struck out at having the dealer update my Sync2 system to v3.10. It shows as available in PTS but would not allow him to apply the update. Not sure why. -jw

Nope, not yet. They had to order a part for a different issue. But they'll update my MFT to v3.10 when I take it back next Thursday. I'll follow up here once it's installed. -jw

Yep, the same issue with Escape. It's not the load carrying ability of the structure, it's the center-of-gravity. The pano moonroof is heavier and when you add load up high on a roof rack, it will change how you vehicle handles. On the Edge you can't get the pano roof and roof rails for that...

I just bought a 2014 Explorer and still own an Escape with Sync2 that I updated to v3.8 that works very well for me. Ford's Otis site shows that a dealer can update my Sync2 system from v3.6 to v3.8. But Ford pulled v3.8 for all vehicles from the consumer site a few months ago when v3.8 had...

Unfortunately v3.8 is no longer on owner.ford.com. I assume they'll release it again or a newer version. But for now the only way to upgrade is go to the dealer. -jw

Is the Sync2 V3.8 update the same regardless of vehicle? I have it downloaded for my Escape and wondered if it's safe to install the same on my Explorer. -jw
