    Thanks guys for the help, but at this time, I will throw in the towel. At 140,000 miles, it is not worth $3000 for a rebuilt trans.

    Perfect fluid level ok, still no response from the trans. Looks like my next stop is the dealership.

    My transmission won't engage in any gear, but goes into park.

    2005 with 140,000 miles. My wife was parked, started the SUV, placed it in reverse. She said the SUV lunged forward. Now the transmission will not engage in any gear. It will go in and out of park, reverse lights work, but nothing else. No strange noise, just like the transmission in in neutral...
