Check out my cardomain for pics after install. You have to cut the rubber away from the rear vent glass. This is the only discrepency between Explorers and Aviators.

I made mine for my '96. There is a thread that shows you how to remove the amber lens by making a small cut on the inside of the plastic. Search for clear corners and you will find the thread. I can't remember what it's called. On my new one i just bought them off ebay. Less than $40 shipped.
