    Do I have a remote-door-lock thingy ?

it very well might have it (a friend I know has a 1994 mustang with it)?? if you dont have a fob the best place is to go to a junk yard and find one out of a like year explorer or Ebay...Once you have the "fob" the programming is easy to do (I am sure there is a write up on here) if not its...

    transmission fluid in radiator

forgot to add: if there was trans fluid in the coolant system your transmission fluid would definitely have coolant in it (as the coolant system runs at a much greater pressure)

    transmission fluid in radiator

if you switched the flow of the coolant into the heater core you basically unearthed all the crap and sludge typically built up in a heater core into the coolant system. the brownish clumps and coolant color are typical of 2 situations 1) worn rad or heater core 2)exhaust gasses from a...

    Rear antiskid

My rear abs was useful especially with a lift. I removed the abs pump last year because the lines rusted and I regret it. I have to be very careful that I am not following too closely to someone on a bumpy road. I have locked the brakes multiple times - almost always b/c of excessively bumpy...

    Oil leak getting worse-OHV

An idea about the trans jack... Instead of that what some have done is pull the carpets up, open the shifter lever pan, balance a 2x4 through the front windows and suspend the transe with a nice tow strap... jus and idea. I just wen through this last summer with my b2. I did the upper lower...

A/C problems, and it's the HOTTEST day on record here!

Another angle: When I drive at 30-35 mph at a steady speed the a/c in my car cranks out frigid air. When I go to step on it the a/c disengages slightly (warmer air out the vents) until I reach and maintain a steady speed. Could the clutch be too sensitive? perhaps disengaging under mild...

Hey gang, give a listen and tell me what you think this could be...

Well I dropped the ACC drive belt, which illiminates A/C, P/S, and ALT. So it is either the Water Pump, Timing tensioner or A cam bearing.... Uhg.

    89 bronco 2 - 5 speed rebuild

I need to do mine too.. I am guessing after reading a few posts on here that it is pretty straight forward, the hardest part is getting the tranny out.. after that it is just a shop press and patience needed.

???? Dash instruments go goofy when A/C is on.

In my 94 i had a problem with the negative ground cable or one of its many acc leads... had coroded.. if I ran too many acc's or if the abs was activated the dash would go crazy. it eventually got so bad the car would clunk out in the middle of traffic and have no power to anything. I would say...

    89 bronco 2 - 5 speed rebuild

    There's a noise....

I had a 4.0L OHV in my 99 and it had a "dry start" issue. A severe "clattering" sound that lasted no more than 2-3 seconds at start up. As the crank journals wore out with more driving the clatter at start up stayed. Eventually the bearings in the motor could no longer sustain oil pressure...

Im back w/ more problems. When I stop it stops! wtf

Do you smell gas? is it "stumbling" then dying? If so it may be a Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve. A quick test is to locate the valve on the fuel rail (a chrome cylidrical valve with a vac line running out of the top of it into a vacuum tee on the intake plenum). Pull the line from it and if...

Hey gang, give a listen and tell me what you think this could be...

Thanks Brooklyn, In my case the tensioner is "spring tensioned" and there is no adjustment. The earlier Escort 1.9L had a manually tensioned belt. This weekend I am going to drop the serp and see if the noise persists.
