headlights

Hi there, I just bought my daughter a '96 Ranger 4.0L 4x4 that we just discovered does not have low beams! High beams work, but no low beams. I suspect its the headlight switch. Could use some tips on how to diagnose and repair. Thanks, Gbluesdude

Has anyone painted the inside of the headlights black? Like to match the aftermarket ones? If not do you think this will work? I'm thinking flat black krylon plastic paint.
