    Window motor in my 89 Ranger is not working properly.

    1989 ford ranger. the window will go down but i have to pull it up while pressing the up button. if i just press the up button the window wont move and the motor just whirrs. how can the motor let the window down and not take it up? is it the motor gear or switch?
