I bought a used 2004 Ford Explorer XLT The outside temp that shows is always over 100 degrees, even now in the fall, no matter how warm or cold it is outside. How do I fix it? Would also like to know where the catalytic converter is located, I may need a replacement.

This sensor is screwed into the upper intake manifold. It measures the temperature of the air going into the engine.
