00 Mountaineer, ac/heater issues

I have a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer that the AC heater motor blower will not turn off. It's got the digital automatic ac/heater but even when turned off the blower motor keeps turning, can get annoying.

For your issue, Try a new blower motor relay. Your power box should be real close to this one in the link below.

I hesitate suggesting a relay swap, as the other device will probably stay on also. It is not uncommon for the contacts in a relay to "weld" themselves together which in effect keeps the switch turned on.

If you need, I happen to have a bunch of relays, I could donate one.
