I have not been on here in a long time.
I rolled my 2001 explorer in 09. I saved the rear axle (4.10 trac lock) and front end.
I have a 2000 mountaineer I am going to swap it all over to now.
The original 16" wheels that were on the explorer did not survive the roll (sold for scrap long ago).
I am going to buy aftermarket wheels for the mountaineer and I need to know what the stock wheel width and backspacing was on them.
I have searched the site a few times and have not been able to locate this information.
The wheels I am looking at currently are 16 X 8 DC-2s with 5 X 4.5" BC and a 4" BS.
The main difference in the mountaineer from the explorer is the explorer had fender flares. The mountaineer does not.
