Well,........ I finally got my tires. I originally wanted to go with a set of Toyo's, but my local dealer had trouble getting them in a timely fashion, so I opted for a set of Nitto's (255/55R18's)

I really like the look of them, but they stick out way too much for my liking. I found out the hard way that these 3rd generation X's, require a wheel with a lot of positive offset. Even though these wheels have a 5.95" back spacing, the overall width of 9" put them too far outside the wheel wells for my taste.

I'm going to go to with a different wheel that's only 8" wide and has 6" backspacing. Oh well,.......you live and learn.

      Here's the pics,.........

This is the wheel that I'm more than likely going to go with. I like it a lot, with the exception of the price.

Thumbs up on those wheels! If there's no problem with rubbing, I'd keep them.

I like it, that is the way my 18x9's on the front did on my 96. I put 1 inch spacers on the rear (18x10's) to get them out to the edge like the front also.
Thats is the best looking newer model I have seen!!!

They look great, ad a set of EGR or OEM flairs and they won't stick out anymore

I think this is the one you're refering to,............

It's not "exact", but it is close.
One thing I did notice is, It's a 9" wide wheel. I don't want that, as I would be in the same boat.

I think this looks a lot better. I liked the look of the Saleen wheels, but where they stuck out so much, it made them look ghetto.

Am I lost here? I don't see any Saleen wheels. I see a set of Cobra's. I thought Saleen wheels were all white. Like the ones on Explorerchic's truck.

Saleens are the straight five star style and cobras have a curve to them.

I kinda like the old look. It's cleaner and it goes well with white. Either way its way better than mine. :D
