..1992 Explorer...when passing on the freeway or just wot to get on the freeway, she bucks / stumbles quite suddenly at almost exactly 4000 rpm....then picks back up as the revs drop just 1-2 x....i can get over 4000 but I have to wot PAST 4000 to avoid the buck....
Fuel pressure was tested fine 4 months ago. New CPS, new ICM 4 months ago, cleaned IAC, many new parts, runs like a champ....except this...
Rebuilt tranny summer 2013....seemed to start right after that but....
I have read, searched and more..
Is there anything in the tranny that could cause this? Maybe the fuel pressures regulator is bad, but the stumble is SO sudden I thought it more electrical.
I know there is a rev limiter, but.....
anything will help, love my old first gen...
