I was off roading on the sand trails in Hatteras island, NC and i was doing some water crossings in the sippie holes there. the water was only about 8 inches deep at the most but after the second crossing, about 45 seconds after i was out of the water, my engine cut out, it started right back up and the rest of the day was great, but i was wondering what caused the cut off and if there is something get or do to prevent it in the future. thank you.

Hoe fast were you going? A big splash will get all kinds of stuff wet.

Do you have the stock air box? It acts as the opposite of a snorkel and sucks air/water from the bottom...

I hope this isn't an omen for me...heading down there to surf fish Set 22-26th...how are the fish biting???? I know those holes you are talking about...some of them can be scary to go through, especially after a good rain.
