2002 XLT Rattle Fix?

Has anyone had any success replacing the timing chains, tensioners and guides without removing the engine from the vehicle? I don't really have the space to pull the engine and am looking for a way to do this work with the engine in the car. Thank you.

No, but it can be done if you drop the transmission. There is a bolt behind the Flex plate/ flywheel that holds the rear guide in place and a bolt that holds the jackshaft gear on. You cant remove the rear chain or guide without access from the back.
