My 2004 Explorer drove fine to work. When leaving for lunch it felt
like a brake pad was going bad. 20 mi. later is was making a grinding/tinking
sort of noise and ground like a brake pad was gone or anti lock was having issues but no ABS lights and only when using the brakes. It is fine if you dont use the brakes and highway drive. I felt and heard this from the drivers side. I pulled the wheel and caliper and the pads look ok?
Could this be a caliper or CV joint going bad? OR ABS issue.

Ok so these are dual piston calipers and I think I lost one piston on the caliber causing the chattering sound. Replacing now and will update.
