2005 Ranger FX4 9" or 10" Brake Shoe Size?

How do I identify whether I need 9" or 10" brake shoes. I've searched google and that was no help. I hope that someone here knows.

I have not yet taken the drums off. I'm thinking that there may be some way to identify the size once I remove the drums or maybe the size has to do with the diameter of the drum?

I'd just get both locally and return whatever you dont need

That is a great idea. I wish I would have thought of that because now the stores are all closed.

It does refer to the diameter of the drums, and if you have an FX4, you have an 8.8 axle, which has the larger (10") brakes.

No production Ranger has ever had rear discs. All FX4s have 10" drums.
