Hello guys,
I was recently in an accident with my 2006 Mountaineer AWD 4.6L v8 and both front airbags deployed . I was able to obtain both from eBay cheaply plus the SRS module. Unfortely I still have the airbag light and after pulling the codes , the following codes came up B2984, B2290 and B2292 . I figured out that ford has it where after the airbag deploys the steering column drops and the only way to get rid of B2984 is by replacing the steering column. I just found one from my local salvage yard and should be picking it up in a few but I am not sure on how to replace it . I was also advised that the other two codes are to the seatbelts and should go after I replace the column.
Does anybody have a step by step guide on how to do it?
Any advice or input will be appreciated? Thanks
