This week we completed installation of a blue top Optima in the second seat area using the Blue Sea add-a-battery kit . We put an 800W inverter and 12V outlet on the battery case which is fastened to the floor using seat hold-down bolts. The second seat area is now taken up with the sleeping platform and memory foam cushions. The sleeping platform is portable so that when not travelling we have access to the third row seats if required. Our communication sytem now includes a Globalstar sat phone with car kit and antenna. Added a Rola cargo basket and wheel step to reach it. Now we pack up for our three week trip in ID, WY, OR and WA. Plan to get a set of Dueller Revo2's (265/70/18). That leaves us with a front-end skid plate and tow hooks install before the Overland Rally in July.
