2013 Explorer FOB replacement options

hello to all, I hope someone out there found a way to replace that ancient looking 2013 explorer FOB, just got my explorer 2 months ago and god was i surprised that a 2013 explorer comes with a 2000 looking FOB key on which the buttons are super annoying to press [as per wife - her car] ....

you can buy replacement FOBs that are nice especially the ones that fit the 2016 explorer, example below:

but these say they fit the 2016 explorer, has anyone had luck programming any replacement FOB that looks similar to this one above? any recommendations are welcome

Welcome to the Forum.
That fob you linked is new for the 2016 and 2017 Explorer. I just picked my 2017 up the other day and have that type. What type do you have now? The Integrated Keyhead transmitted (IKT) or the Intelligent Access (IA)? Pictures are in you Owner's Manual. I believe there were likely some changes made to the new ones.
