I noticed that the exhaust tips are now turned downward.

Traded in our 2016 explorer sport for a 2018 Expedition XLT FX4 with HD tow
Used 5 star tune on Expedition
Plan to trade in our 2013 SHO for 2020 Explorer with 400hp engine then use livernois tune
Hoping to make it close to the SHO in performance
Here is chart of dyno test on the 3 liter dual turbo stock verses their tune
I noticed that too. I see the cutouts though for the civilian version so I assume it will be similar to what we have now but turned down for PIUs like they are doing for them currently.
Interior volume increases and 3rd row will be bigger and accomodate adults more comfortably.
We'll see. Interior volume increase doesn't necessarily mean cargo volume increase.
Ford has already stated that Cargo has increased in the PIU so Id expect that to carry over to the civilian.
I think they are achieving this by reducing the side panels that have been complaints since the 5th gen launch. The doors are way to wide and ackward. It is hard to reach out at a drive thru or atm. The rear panels in the rear stick out a lot as well. Reducing them allows for widening the interior. Plus unifficial specs from insiders have told me it is a little longer and a little wider (exterior dimensions) but also a little flatter which we see now by the roofline.
hope 3:73 axle & 10 spd trans with 400+HP dual turbo engine is available when order guide is released.
Should make for a fun ride with a recalibration of the pcm
Anyone know when order guide will be released
'Search' and ye shall find, sometimes. 2020 PIU Order Guide
I think he meant the civilian order guide.
Order guides typically come out within a week of order banks opening.
That si what I am looking for
anyone with any inside info when it will be released?
As I stated, about a week before order banks open.
I just saw this today as well......its a big deal in Law Enforcement because the Ford Police Program Engineering Team just made a heavier AWD SUV beat out a lighter RWD Hemi Charger Sedan. Not just top speed but repetative lap times.
Will be interesting seeing these come out and the civilian versions w RWD coming back.
LA County Sheriff's Car Test is next week at AutoClub Speedway in Ontario CA. I will post some picks of the new Explorer if its there.
