- 2016 Explorer Sport
Good morning all. I have a 2016 explorer sport with 36000 miles, and had a check engine light on at about 27000, took it to ford and they fixed a faulty injector circuit.
Now I get the car back and about 100 miles later I loose all boost pressure on the highway, I get off and see that one of the hoses from the intercooler blew off under the engine. The mechanic did not tighten the clamp and it just blew off. Now I’m running into the same problem with an upper intake hose and I can’t keep it from loosening and eventually blowing off.
My question is, could this be more than just poor hose clamps and poor dealer attention to detail, or could it be a boost issue causing the hoses to blow off? And would those be covered under powertrain warranty or basic? Thanks for the input
I would post a pic but i am noob and it doesn’t work
