Can anyone tell me if I can swap my 4.0 SOHC for a 4.0 OHV and if so, what issues am I looking at? THANKS!!!

Yes, you can.

You would need a 95+ block. The earlier blocks dont have the right holes for the motor mounts. The trans will bolt up.

You would need the right wiring harness and computer. I assume any 96-up (OBDII) OHV harness would work or could be adapted. You would need a 97+ computer to run your 5r55e trans.

Your best bet is to find a complete running donor truck and swap everything.

Could be some slight emissions system differences, a few hoses might be routed differently, although your biggest thing is gonna be computer/wiring related. I suggest taking snoranger's advice. If not a whole truck, then pretty much all powertrain components. It'd suck to get the engine all prepped to go in and you find out the tranny harness or something is different. If you got the whole p-train and you didn't need something, you could always re-sell it.
