Hi all,
Usual problems with my Explorer. I am aware of a video online which shows the replacement of the transmission solenoids due to the OD light flashing and a few lumpy gear changes where you need to come off the gas for it to change up.
My understanding is the video was filmed on a newer explorer, however can anyone confirm if it is the same process on a 2004 4.6 V8? Is it really just a case of drop the pan, unbolt and re-bolt a replacement and stick the pan back on?
I was also a little unsure whether an older 2004 era still needs to 'learn' the changes. Is this simply a case of going for a nice, easy drive?
