Anybody heard about the biggest quake in world history since the past 40 yrs? The tsunami was enormous and has killed tens od thousands of people.
Hopefully they get things back to normal in not too long. I have a bad feeling that disease is going to spread now.
I hope the death toll doesn't get too high.
    Crazy

I have several missionary friends that are in that region of the world. So far, I have only heard from one couple - and they are on the China Sea side of Malaysia... They escaped unharmed, but say that what we are hearing and seeing is only the tip of the iceberg. They really don't know how many bodies will turn up - nor do they have the sort of counting mechanisms that we take for granted here in the USA. Many killed will end up being tourists there for the Christmas holidays - and it will only be when they fail to return home that their fate may become known...

This is a disaster of immense proportions... both in human lives and property damage...

News said this morning it is up to 50,000 deaths due to the tsunami.

It will probably continue to rise.

Did anyone see the American on CNN reunited with his 18 month old that he was holding when the wave hit? he could not hold him. Kid was found by another tourist. The Dad was hysterical, he was balling. It kinda gave me a lump in my throat. Imagine not being able to hang onto your child?

My paranoid Catholic mother in law thinks this is the apocolipse.
