new to the site and looking at buying a 93, 2 door, 4.0L, manual trans, with 100k. was wondering if anyone knows what could possibly be the downfall of this truck. is it just the auto transmissions that have problems? thanx

I have a 93 sport 4x4 and I love it! It has somewhere between 155-170k on everything and still going strong. Still on the original trans, motor, radiator, heater core, etc. Have never had any major problems (except offroad related mishaps ;) ). I have replaced the clutch, fan clutch, miscellaneous crap like wheel bearings, balljoints, but other than that(which is routine maintenance) its been an excellent and extremely reliable vehicle!

the only thing i can think of is the auto hubs for the 4x4 they usually go at 100-130k i know mine and a few other people I know's did.

I wouldn't be afraid of the miles but I'd certainly figure them into the price, you pay. It only stands to reason, you'll have some extra maint., based on the miles. I don't suspect anything major but some factor for sure............"pear"
