My 96 Ranger won't fire up, no spark/intermittent spark.
I want to remove the ICM and have it checked, but i can't find it. Can anyone clue me in to where it's located?
I've already replaced the crank position sensor and am getting ready to replace the cam position sensor.
Fuel pressure has been tested and verified good.

Please, HELP, I can't find it! I have searched for 2 days and don't see the thing ANYWHERE!!!

I suggest you PM tbars, he has a 95 with the 2.3, and I bet he knows where it's at.

..."Only the EEC-IV ignition systems use an external ICM. EEC-V systems have incorporated the ICM into the Power Control Module (PCM)."

...94 Ranger was the last year to have one...;)

...This is where they were located on the older 2.3L and 2.5L Rangers..

Thank you!
My new question is: where's the PCM?
Is that the brain under the dash?
I can't figure why my truck was running well and just quit, like someone turned the key off, intermittent spark, fuel pressure fine, coil blocks fine, new crank position sensor.
I'm lost!

i found my pcm on my 96 2.3L ranger behind the panel close to the floor on passenger side. hope that helps you.
