A couple of wiring questions

These are probably some pretty dumb questions about wiring some lights.
First off how do you splice wires?
and second I bought an iluminated switch, it has 3 prong things on the bottom. I'm assuming one is for ground, one for power, and one coming from the relay?
THird could someone explain how I can have my driving lights come on with my high beams, but also be able to come on when I flip the switch I bought?
Thanks
Mark

Not sure how to search on this site but these questions have ben answered before.

Good Luck,

Connector on the left (quick connect) is great for splicing into a wire. If you are going to do much wiring I like the "crimp connectors" , a variety shown on the right,
that are used with a crimping tool. Crimp and tape the connector.
Check here for wiring diagram for the lights.http://208.38.138.31/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44344

Working on marine stuff often makes me a fanatic about splicing,

I use two methods with the first one prefered:

(1) special heat shrink but connectors that are crimped then heated with a heat gun to melt the adhesive and shrink the tubing for a waterproof connection.

(2) solder the connection and use heat shrink tubing to cover and protect the joint.

Good luck.
