Another Mercury Mountaineer Lightning Question

Will 2002 Lightning wheels fit on a 2000 Mountaineer?

Another question:

If I bought 17 inch mustang bullets what size tire would look good on them then mounted on a 2000 mount. Or even 18's for that matter? I won't be doing any major off-roading.

Any info will help,...sorry if I've repeated any questions.

No. Lightning wheels are 6 lug, you'll need adapters, which are not only dangerous, but pricy.

You really should search for all the rest of this information, it's been discussed numerous amounts of times.

Actually lightning wheels are 5 lug, just 5 on 5.5. Not 5 on 4.5 like an Explorer or Mounty.

I've got two Roush wheels, but they're not on my Mounty, they're 5x5.5

Check the weights of all wheels and tires, before you buy anything. Good luck,
DW

Looks like I'm going to go for 18" aftermarket Black Bullitts. After doing some searching like suggested by draft I'm thinking of 255/55/18 tires. Hopfully this will be enough to fill up the wheel wells.

Thanks all for your advice.
